                      Thanks for visiting!

                                                  About Us
Crazy L Farm Is a small farm located in upper east Tennessee, Greene County to be exact. We are raising Registered Icelandic Sheep for breeding stock, meat and fleece.

Icelandic sheep is one of the oldest pure breeds of sheep. They are a multipurpose sheep being used for meat, fiber, and milk. They are short tailed and of medium size and come in a fantastic range of colors. We are trying to breed sound sheep that will remain true to what Icelandic s are known for. These sheep are wonderful animals who don't require a huge farm so they are perfect for us. Our sheep are registered with the CLRC. We are members of the Icelandic Sheep Breeders of North America (ISBONA).

Our farm was formed in Oct. 2008,with arrival of one horse (Oreo) and a donkey (Nilla).  At that same time I had finally decided on a breeder and the sheep I wanted. I sent my deposit and my sheep remained at that farm for breeding season(Nov-Jan) They stayed there till The 1st week in Feb 2009.That was as soon as we could make the trip up to get them. We finally got to bring home our very 1st four sheep(Freyr, Halsa,Nina, and Ida). The ewes had been bred to a different ram. We were so excited to have them. Since then our farm has grown quite a bit to include more sheep (4 new ewes and all the lambs that have been born here), two more horses(Carpet and Shooter) and chickens(barred rock hens and several bantam cochins). We raise the chickens for eggs. Our farm is like this website still in the building phase. So please bear with us. We will be adding things to the web site and the farm..

Our sheep are raised as Natural as possible. No antibiotics or steroids unless there is a illness. They are feed mostly grass pasture. They do receive grain ,sheep minerals, and hay as well. Our sheep get quite a bit of attention given we have a small flock and hope to keep our flock numbers minimal. We do every thing with our sheep ourselves, from feeding to shearing to feet trimming, so we know each sheep very well. I think this is very important, so you can tell if there is a problem or something is going on with a certain sheep sooner.

Our farm is owned and run by Carrol and Brooke Laws. Carrol works at a local machine shop when not working on the farm. Brooke is a Body Piercing and Tattoo Artist at Tintura Visual Concepts when she isn't here on the farm. Our teen age daughter also helps out on the farm ,as she owns and trains and shows her own horses.

Our farm is not open to the public. Maybe one day, but until then please call before coming by..
